Overview

Ease is a minimalist, soothing skincare brand designed for individuals with sensitive and eczema-prone skin. The objective of this project was to create a calming, functional, and aesthetically pleasing brand that reflects the organic nature and simplicity of the product. The branding and packaging were designed to convey gentleness, hydration, and relief, ensuring that the product resonates with consumers and fills a gap in the skincare market.




Process

I began this project by researching the needs of individuals with sensitive and eczema-prone skin, focusing on existing gaps in the skincare market. I analyzed competitor brands, ingredient formulations, and consumer preferences to understand what makes a product feel trustworthy.

I also followed skincare industry guidelines to ensure the product met safety, formulation, and labelling standards. The design included period after opening (PAO) labelling, which indicates how long the product remains effective. The Mobius loop symbol was incorporated to indicate the packaging is recyclable. 
My Role 

Ease's brand ethos in the logo was designed with a humanistic and approachable aesthetic, reflecting the brand's emphasis on simplicity and comfort. The typography is soft yet modern, avoiding harsh edges to convey a smooth and organic feel, which aligns with the product. I chose a deep green that is aloe-like, which, happily in scientific colour theory terms, cancels out red (similarly to how aloe vera soothes inflamed skin).
