Solara, is a energy drink brand crafted for wellness-driven tastemakers who seek more from their daily fuel. With clean, hand-picked ingredients and a strategy rooted in both cost and energy, Solara redefines energy through a lens of vitality, sustainability and style. Solara offers a refreshing take on energy, one that feels bright, uplifting, and aligned with concious living.
Our team of four began by identifying a gap in the energy drink market: a product that aligned with wellness values, clean aesthetics, and intentional living. We aimed to differentiate Solara from both the flashy, high-caffeine culture of traditional brands like Red Bull and the premium, niche wellness appeal of Erewhon staples, by creating something that felt balanced, radiant and accessibile.
I led the brand conceptualization phase—brainstorming the name Solara, contributing to the colour palette, and helping define the overal visual tone. Throughout the design process, I created social media assets to extend the brand into the digital space, while also supporting the team with design drafts and feedback cycles.
Designing the Solara identity was a highly collaborative process. As a team, we explored multiple directions for the logo, each representing different facets of our brand’s energy and personality. While we had varying creative opinions, we navigated these differences through open dialogue and regular feedback sessions.
I learned the importance of compromising and letting go of personal attachment to certain ideas in order to serve the bigger vision. Together, we arrived at a logo that felt both unified and purposeful, balancing everyone’s strengths while staying true to our core concept.
